You can find so much more than just books at your local library!

Bookbug is Scottish Book Trust’s national Early Years programme. As a national charity, Scottish Book Trust delivers the Bookbug programme locally by working in partnership with local library and education services, the health service and third sector organisations. To support local delivery of the Bookbug programme, Scottish Book Trust provides its partners with training, advice and Bookbug bags of books.

Community Libraries can offer warm spaces with access to books, digital technologies, comfy chairs, jigsaws, free heat packs and much more.

Our Lend and Mend Hub is a dedicated facility, based in the AK Bell Library that allows free access to equipment to repair, reuse and upcycle textiles.

We’ve got over 400 adult and children’s puzzles available to borrow.

Our Maker_Spaces are home to an extensive range of creative technology and are free to use for community groups, creatives, businesses, and individuals.

Being part of a book group is a popular pastime and there are a number of active groups in Perth and Kinross.

Culture Perth and Kinross work in partnership with NHS Tayside and other local organisations to provide a range of self-help books covering topics.

This service delivers books to people who are unable to visit their local library. Throughout Perth and Kinross, volunteers visit more than two hundred people at home. If you are unable to visit your local library because you are housebound, recovering from illness, have mobility difficulties, or visual impairment or are a carer at home, we can bring the library service to you.
