Celebrate National Poetry Day 2026 with a special exhibition showcasing poetry inspired by this year’s theme, Wonder.

Encouraging creativity, curiosity and reflection, Wonder explores new perspectives, celebrates the power of imagination and invites us to engage more deeply with the world around us. The exhibition features a collection of poems by local writers, accompanied by personal reflections on the role poetry plays in their lives. Together, these works highlight the many ways poetry can inspire, connect and enrich our understanding of the world.

As part of the National Poetry Day celebrations, visitors are also invited to a special poetry evening on Thursday 1 October, featuring readings from exhibition contributors alongside acclaimed local poet Patricia Ace. Join us in celebrating the wonder of poetry and the voices of our community.
