Join local artist Liz Kemp to design some rockin’ artwork. Inspired by this year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme, Read to the Beat, Liz will help you get your musical notes out, drum to the beat, and get creative!
This is a free drop-in session suitable for primary-aged children. Under-8s must be accompanied by an adult.
Summer Reading Challenge 2026
The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, “Read to the Beat!”, is a free programme for children aged 4–11. It invites children to read six books during the summer holidays, with a fun theme around music, sound, and stories. Families can sign up at any Culture Perth & Kinross library. Children will receive a challenge pack, collect stickers as they go, and earn a certificate and medal when they finish.
The challenge supports children to keep reading over the summer and feel confident and ready for the new school year.
