Nicole Bukaty resides in Crieff and is an experienced hiker and guidebook author. When not teaching French and Spanish, she can be found walking in her Highland back garden of Scotland or trekking long-distance hikes abroad. She has covered approximately 9000km on multi-day trails.

Her most recent publication 15 Short Walks Perthshire North celebrates the most loved walks around Blair Atholl, Kinloch Rannoch, Pitlochry, Dunkeld, Birnam, Aberfeldy and Kenmore. The book details all the necessary information to complete each walk. It explores Perthshire’s fascinating points of interest, narrates the local history and stories, and is accompanied by fun facts and stunning photographs. The walks are a great inspiration to discover beauty spots so close to home, and can be enjoyed by adults, children and our four-legged friends.
