From Tuesday 1 March, all Culture Perth and Kinross libraries will be accepting donations from people wishing to support refugees escaping the conflict in Ukraine. The following items can be dropped off at any of our 12 open libraries. Donations, unfortunately, cannot be accepted on our three mobile libraries.
Warm clothes | Vacuum flasks | Hairbrushes and combs |
Shoes | Torches | Toilet paper |
Gloves | Prams/strollers | Cleaning supplies |
Blankets | Child’s clothes | Nappies for children and adults |
Thermal blankets | First Aid kits | Hygiene and care products |
Pillows | Plasters | Bottled water (small) |
Sleeping bags/mats | Bandages | Canned food |
Tents | Painkillers | Formula milk |
Backpacks | Tourniquets | Toothbrushes/toothpaste |
Waterproofs | Pads | Batteries |
Towels |
Please bring clothes in clean, neat, or new for anyone who wants to donate clothes. Please pack items in boxes or bags, but separate food from other items, so they don’t mix.
Staff at our libraries will be on hand to accept donations during regular library opening times. Opening times can be found here.
Donations will be collected by Culture Perth and Kinross staff and taken to either one of the four Campus Libraries or to the AK Bell Library, where volunteers from the Polish Scouting Association will sort and pack items for onward delivery to Poland.
