Ancestry Taster Sessions

24th February - 18th May 2017

Start researching your family tree with the Ancestry website.

The ancestry website is free to access in your local library. As one of the major genealogy websites Ancestry is a great place for you to start researching your family tree.

The Local and Family History team is based in AK Bell Library and while you can visit or contact us here any time we also like to get out and about and offer sessions in all libraries.

These sessions are designed to introduce you to the Ancestry website and we offer advice on how to use this site and many other resources. Census and Old Parish records, newspapers, Post Office directories, statistical accounts and valuation rolls are just some of the resources which will help you trace your ancestors – we can show you how to access and use these resources, create your family tree and reveal your past!

Ancestry Sessions are open to all, regulars and newcomers all welcome and you can attend any session you wish. For the Ancestry Taster sessions please call your local library in advance to book a place.
