Ruthvenfield Primary School – Ruthvenfield 150 Community Public Art Commission

Ruthvenfield Primary School pupils are currently seeking to commission an artist to work with pupils to create a piece of artwork that reflects the 150th anniversary of Ruthvenfield Primary School. Work can be in any medium, subject to the approval of our lead class P4/5 and we welcome proposals that capture the rich history of the school and local community and also represent the UNCRC Rights of the Child.
To apply for this freelance opportunity, please complete the attached application form and supply up to 3 images of your work (up to 10MB per email). If you would like to visit the school please contact our Headteacher, Mr Andrew Clark, to arrange a suitable time.
(Please note: this commission could be for a single artist or a collaboration. However, this commission will be funded as one payment and not payments to individuals.)

Response Date: Monday 5th November 2018
Interviews: Wednesday 7th November 2018
Project Start Date: two project days between Thursday 8th November and Wednesday 21st November 2018 (Please note the school is closed for INSET on 15th and 16th November 2018)

Term: Immediately (Prior to November 22nd 2018)
2 days, dates to be negotiated with successful candidate

Fee: £250 per day (includes all preparation, materials and contact time with pupils and community members)
Application: Applications will be read and final selection made by Primary 4/5 pupils.
